How to Season (Quick Start)

  1. Pre-clean & warm: Scrape the cooktop clean; heat to warm—not smoking.

  2. Apply thinly: Using a folded paper towel or lint-free cloth and tongs/gloves, rub a rice-grain amount of Crisbee over the surface. Immediately wipe to an ultra-thin, nearly dry sheen.

  3. Polymerize: Heat until the surface smokes lightly for a few minutes.

  4. Repeat 2–3 times for first-time seasoning.

  5. After each cook: While warm, scrape, wipe clean, and apply a whisper-thin coat to protect.

Pro tip: If you can see oil pooling, it’s too much. Ultra-thin layers build the hardest patina.

Care & Safety

  • Use heat-resistant gloves and tongs when working on a hot surface.

  • Season in a well-ventilated outdoor area.

  • Store puck cool and dry; keep out of direct sun.
